Description
Planning for the management of contracts commenced in the procurement planning phase.  
It is a continuum of the procurement process and derives from the complexity and impact assessment, market analysis, 
market approach and continues right through contract negotiation, implementation and outcomes evaluation.

Objective:

Contract management covers all the activities at the commencement of, during and after the contract period. 

It is the process that ensures both parties to a contract fully meet their respective obligations as effectively as possible, 

in order to continually deliver both the business and operational objectives required from the contract.

WHAT IS CONTRACT MANAGEMENT?
Contract management covers all the activities at the commencement of, during and after the contract period. 
It is the process that ensures both parties to a contract fully meet their respective obligations as effectively as possible,
in order to continually deliver both the business and operational objectives required from the contract.
This means actively tracking and monitoring delivery and costs, managing risks, 
and actively managing the relationships between the department and the supplier.
